Konna & Gigi met Lillian

Gigi, Bouvier des Flandres, Konna, Black Russian Terrier and Lillian (F-R)

After Dad had lunch at 4th Street Deli & Salads, we headed out on our cookie tour of the Historic District.  First stop Amelia's Fine Jewelry where Gigi and John keep a supply of treats on the window ledge, self-service style.  Then on to Olive Amelia, where we wait at the door until someone has a chance to go to the cookie bowl and bring us some cookies.  If you walk by and see us waiting the bowl is on the top shelf of the rack, just inside on the left, please pop in and grab a couple of cookies for us, the staff is frequently busy!

From there we went on to the docks to see how the repairs are going.

On the way back as we were passing Amelia Island Coffee Lillian asked if she could say hello, and of course, Dad said OK.  Lillian asked lots of questions about us. Dad gave his standard spiel.  Lillian was enamored with Gigi.

Lillian and friend were visiting from Riverside.  Lillian, we hope we see you again, it a short ride from Jacksonville.

New Years Eve, fresh from visit with the Groomer.

After leaving Hot Paws, we went downtown for a walk and to collect cookies from Amelia Fine Jewelry and Olive Amelia.  We parked on 3rd, so the first stop was Amelia Fine Jewelry.  Then on to Olive Amelia.  On the way back to the car we met Claire and her friend Charles, who were enjoying a box of fudge from Fantastic Fudge.

Claire agreed to pose with me.

Christina from Delray Beach met Konna

Christina, visiting Fernandina met Konna (Black Russian Terrier, blue lead) and Gigi (Bouvier des Flandres, pink lead) as they were waiting in front of Olive Amelia for their cookies.  Olive Amelia is one of their stops on the Cookie Route, stores that hand out cookie.  Other stores have water bowls out.  Fernandina is a dog-friendly place, restaurants with patios allow dogs and many VRBO rental allow dogs.

Konna met Piper at Farmer's Market this morning.

R-L, Gigi, Piper and Konna.
Konna and Gigi were at Farmer's Market this morning, braving the rain while waiting on some Bouvier friends.  They were going to meet up and tour the 8-Flags Auto Show.  Piper stopped by and wanted to say hello.

Shortly after, Bentley and Loki arrived.  We took this picture then went to the coffee shop.  Then the rain came down.

R-L Bentley, Loki, Gigi and Konna.
Monster, Casolete, and Hector arrive.  The rain came down harder and we all took shelter under the awning at Robertson's Jewelry.  The rain finally slacked and we visited with some of the owners.

It was lunchtime so we all went to London's for lunch.

Will add pictures of Monster and friends when I get them.  All told six bouvs, three fawns, three brindles, and one Black Russian Terrier.

Yappy Hour, September 2019

Yappy Hour is back, hosted by Friends of Animals in Nassau (FAN) with support from Redbone and Hot Paws.  The new venue is Shuckers.

We arrived a little early, to a full patio.  Octavio (Hot Paws), Poppy, Konna and Gigi groomer came over to say hello.

We looked around for seating in the covered patio.  Dorthy and Bill were seated with their daughter at a table for four, they invited us to join them.  They didn't have their Lab and Bull dog with them, they just happened on the event.

Dorthy provided this picture of here and Gigi.

They live in Valdosta, Georgia but have a Fernandia Beach condo that they visit frequently.  Hope to see you at future Yappy Hour's.
